How to Program Your Inner GPS to Avoid Painful Problems

By | Blog | No Comments

Are you wondering why you’re not living the life of your dreams when that’s the reason why you started your business in the first place?

Few of us have a plan for our life. Most of us are passive spectators, watching our lives unfold, one day at a time. Others, unconsciously follow someone else’s agenda, unaware their life has been hijacked by their career.

The process of getting from where you are to where you want to be is like using a GPS. Let me explain.

Think of your mind like a GPS system. With every picture you visualize, you’re re-confirming the destination that you want to get to. Every time you express a preference for something, you are projecting an intention.

For the GPS to take you where you want to go, it simply needs to know your current location and where you want to go.

The GPS calculates where you are from the signals it receives from satellites and calculates your exact position. When you key in your destination, the GPS plots the best route for you. All you have to do is follow the directions.

Success in life and in business works the same way. Just decide where you want to go by clarifying your vision, lock in the destination through goal-setting, affirmations, and visualization, and start moving in the right direction. Your inner GPS will keep revealing your route as you continue to move forward towards your goal.

Our vision controls our perception

Once you clarify and remain focused on your vision, the exact steps will keep appearing along the way. When you are clear about what you want and keep your mind consistently and constantly focused on it and the how will keep showing up, many times just when you need it and not a moment earlier.

Unfortunately, most of this information and your thoughts are non-productive, random, contradictory and definitely not intentional. It just happens without your conscious awareness. There’s a part of our mind that’s speaking (the conscious mind) and there’s a part of our mind that’s listening (the subconscious) and reacting.

“Until we make the conscious unconscious, it will direct our life and we will call it fate.” – Carl Jung –

What’s worse, we constantly send out negative requests to the world and to our subconscious mind through our thoughts every time we criticize ourselves, blame, complain and focus on the lack of things in our lives.

Worrying is one of the easiest ways we set negative goals. We are essentially creating negative images in our mind of what we don’t want. The pain associated with the negative feelings that result from not getting what we want should be sufficient warning signal that we’re off track, but it doesn’t seem to be enough.

Even just talking about the way things are (our reality) actually creates more of the same in our future. When we think about and voice our opinions about our current circumstances, whether good or bad, it’s actually prescribing the future, rather than simply describing the present.

The key to programming your GPS accurately is to ask for what you want, not for what you don’t want. Every day you send out requests through the thoughts you think to your subconscious mind and to the world. Everything you listen to, read about, talk about, think about and give your attention to is feeding information to your inner GPS.

This includes the radio stations you listen to, the TV shows you watch, the emails you answer, the websites you visit, the magazines and books you read, and the audiobooks you listen to. Literally, everything that you’re listening to and watching all day long.

The best way to get control over your inner GPS and stop working insanely long hours and organize your life so that you’re not missing important family moments is to create a plan for achieving your goals.

It’s Not What You Don’t Know That Holds You Back…

It’s what you do know that isn’t true!

Just when you thought you heard everything. Have you heard of the Cliff Young shuffle? Its one of the best, if not the greatest stories about the tortoise and hares.

A 61-year-old man who has never run a race in his life entered to run an ultra-marathon from Sydney to Melbourne. It’s considered one of the worlds most difficult physical challenges – 544 miles (875 km) that would take six or seven days to complete. The runners were allowed to eat and sleep as they chose, and the winner would w receive $10,000.

Cliff was the least prepared and least likely candidate to win the race. He showed up in overalls and rain boots while the other runners, who were much younger and dressed in the latest Nike, Adidas and Reebok running gear, made fun of him.

Some of the race officials were concerned that Cliff might not make it and die of a heart attack. But Cliff assured them that he had grown up on a farm where they couldn’t afford ATVs or horses and that whenever a storm was coming hed often run for two to three days without sleeping to round up his families 2,000 sheep on their 2,000-acre ranch.

When the race started, the other runners took off at rapid speed and eft Cliff in the dust. However, Cliff started off at a slow pace and style that has been coined the cliff young shuffle. When the race officials saw Cliff running, they were sure that he would collapse and die somewhere along the route.

But Cliff had a secret weapon that even he didn’t know about. You see, Cliff had never run in the race. He had never met another long-distance runner. As a result, he didn’t know that he was supposed to sleep for six or seven hours a night during a long distance endurance race like this one.

The first night Cliff only slept for only two hours. So, by running while the other slept he took the lead and maintained it for the rest of the race. The following day he ran nonstop for 23 hours and only stopped to sleep for one hour.

Cliff ran the entire race with virtually no sleep and cross the finish line 10 hours ahead of the second-place finisher. He had completed 544 miles in five days, 15 hours, and four minutes, which is the equivalent of running almost for marathons per day.

Cliff shattered the previous record by more than two days!

It happened to me too!

Years ago I had the opportunity to climb the stairs of the CN Tower in Toronto Canada to raise money for charity. I had no idea how long it would take, how many steps there were or how many floors there were.

A colleague of mine was there climbing the stairs as well and I decided to follow him because he had successfully climbed the stairs the fastest in my company in all the previous years. I was right behind him when we started out, but then there were so many people in the stairwell that when someone stepped in my way he kept going at a rapid pace.

We were climbing two to three stairs at a time, but I didn’t know what to expect or what to think. My mind wasn’t poisoned by any limitations or expectations. I just expected to finish the race and go as fast as I could.

And to my surprise, I caught up with and passed Ron. I ran up 147 floors, 1,776 steps in 12 minutes and 54 seconds and finished first place in my company the first time I took the challenge.

Cliffs story and mine clearly illustrate that sometimes it isn’t what you don’t know that holds you back. Its what you do know that isn’t true. It’s wise to question all of your assumptions about how things are done and be open to new possibilities.

Money Can’t Talk But It Can Hear and If You Call It… It Will Come

By | Blog | No Comments
Share this:

Doesn’t money seem to flock to certain people easily and effortlessly while others struggle to make ends meet?

It appears that they have some sort of magnetic ability to attract all the money they want without too much effort.

You know – Richard Branson, Warren Buffet, Oprah Winfrey and so on.

Bad economic times come and go and they move through them unscathed and still producing results.

What is so unique about these Money Magnets that separates them from the rest of the world that is working day in and day out trying to survive?

Well, first of all, they don’t think of money in the way that most people do and they have a relationship with money such that they see it, handle it and communicate with it differently.

Yes, that’s right, they talk to their money.

I know, it sounds weird and doesn’t make sense, but stay with me because this could be the #1 idea that will change how more money will come into your life.

Consider for a moment you had the opportunity to choose a very old coin or a one hundred dollar bill – you would likely choose the one hundred dollar bill automatically because the coin is perceived as being worth less.

But in this case, the coin is 450 years old and worth thousands of dollars!

Now the tides have turned and the coin has greater purchasing power over the one hundred dollars, but…

…because of your relationship and experience with money, you grab the bill.

We must appreciate how we’ve come to know the value of money and consider how we see it and communicate with it because it’s always listening.

When you hold large paper bills with higher stature and buying power, it’s only because you haven’t fully understood what it truly represents

and by talking to money the right way, you will bring more of it into your life in the size and amounts you want.

It doesn’t matter whether you have lots of coins or bills!

They can hear your thoughts and will either bring more of their friends or NOT!

How Appreciation Can Get You What You Want

By | Blog | One Comment

Appreciation and love are not only the same vibrations – when you give your attention to them, you feel good more often.

All too often, we think and say things that are the opposite of appreciation and love and then wonder why we don’t feel good and our life is a mess.

Practicing appreciation (and love) takes conscious effort and awareness. Unless you deliberately choose your thoughts and words about the way things are going in your life, you lose control and feel bad.

Your challenge in this video is to live in a constant state of appreciation as much as possible and pay attention to how things improve in your life.

How Money is ‘Not’ the Root of All Evil

By | Blog | No Comments
Share this:

The subject of money and financial success is not, as many have quoted, the root of all evil, — nor is it the clear path to happiness.

Once you are able to successfully control the subject of money that affects most of us all day, every day, you will have significant leverage.

Not only is it assured that your financial success must improve, but the evidence of that success will prepare you for deliberate and specific improvement in every aspect of your business.

Your thoughts are the creator of your things in life and whether you know it or not, the thoughts you’re having now will lead to another thought and perhaps many other thoughts which cause your life to be the way it is.

You can gauge the quality of your life by the dominant thoughts that you’re plugged into.

How to Have More Money by Being Non-Resistant

By | Blog | No Comments
Share this:

Most of us are working to gain more success and increase our income and material wealth, yet we have gotten into the habit of talking about and fearing hard times.

We may talk about not being able to afford something or that its too expensive. We may talk about people we know or criticize the way they generated wealth.

We may look at our financial statements and when we see a downturn, we fear for our investments and our job.

Wealth has to do with consciousness and deservedness.

The way out is to stop focusing on fear and limitation and work only for abundance and prosperity. There’s a Universal Law of Non-Resistance and the best way to work with it is to unplug from giving your time, energy and thoughts to that which is opposed to what you want.

Do not say that money is scarce, because this statement will push money away from you. Don’t say times are hard, because this will shut off the supply of money and even God cant sneak in another coin.

So how can we work for prosperity? By being non-resistant and tuning in to everything that is prosperous and using every way possible to make it easy for prosperity and money to come in.

Be more like water!

How to avoid the danger of “Multi Tasking”

By | Blog | One Comment
Share this:

There are several studies that reveal that “switching tasks” causes
you mental wear and tear and depletes your intelligence… what I
call “your mental currency”

Multi tasking isn’t helping you do anything faster, and constant
exposure to multiple electronic devices, from smart phones to
computers, to tablets, to kindles makes us really bad at multitasking.

Research shows that “when we’re pushing ourselves to perform
two or more tasks, especially complicated tasks, it’s not beneficial,
it’s “extremely inefficient”.

That’s because no matter how small the task, the brain must reorient
its focus each time.

Think of it this way: If you can’t do something in your sleep
(i.e. unconsciously)… then it is taking up mental energy and constant
shifting of your attention during a day of texting, talking, emailing
and writing can all add up to real time.

If you like this, than you really going to like my live webinar where
I deep dive into not only multi tasking, but two other factors that hold
back your productivity.

Fast-Action Takers Always “Win”

By | Blog | No Comments
Share this:

What’s the difference between Fast-Action-Takers and there are “fence sitters” in life?

A good friend of mine did a study that was done on high performing high income people and in the study they were looking for commonalities, what people do that got them such great results and the one factor that made the biggest difference was speed of implementation.

When they got a good idea or when they learned something new that was good, they immediately put it into action, they implemented, the operationalized it.

They took it out of their head and they put it in the world, they did something with it like writing it down, calling someone or creating a new idea.

And what you’re going to find is that your results and your success are going to be in direct proportion, alright, there’s going to be direct proportional  relationship between your speed of implementation and your results.

Now unfortunately most peopled do not implement quickly. They ruminate and they think about things and they say aww maybe I’ll do it later. Okay they have slowness of implementation and that’s why most people don’t get good results. Fear of failure, perfectionism, paralysis of analysis. All of these  things block us from just taking action

If you’re not taking immediate action on your ideas whether you make a note to do something later, you likely have the habit of waiting on things and over thinking.

Each time you have an opportunity to take action and implement a new idea, ask yourself “if not now when” and then do something right away.
